Laxá í Aðaldal

Known as “The Queen of Icelandic Rivers” or “Big Laxá” (The Big Salmon River), Laxá í Aðaldal stands as Iceland’s most iconic destination for salmon fishing. Nestled in the tranquil Aðaldalur valley near Húsavík, this family-run river is legendary for its grandeur, serene waters, rich history and record-breaking Atlantic salmon - some measuring up to 120 cm.

Newtyle on River Tay, Scotland.

The Newtyle Beat offers 2 miles (3.2 km) of prime double-bank fishing on the middle River Tay, located just downstream from the picturesque village of Dunkeld. The beat comprises 16 named pools. Superb holding water for Atlantic salmon across a wide range of water conditions.

Stora Laxa - Lower
Big fish river. Very scenic upper area with fast rocky pools and canyons and further down it goes, the river opens up on to gorgeous meadows with slower cutback pools . Lower Stora Laxa is mostly easily accessible and suits any angler. Stóra Laxá most productive pools are located on this beat.

Stora Laxa - Upper

50+ pools for 3-4 rods, everything from short fast runs to big slow pools. This Is without a doubt one of the most stunning salmon beats in the world! I love jsut being here.
Known not only for its beauty but for big average weight and is the home of some of the biggest salmon in Iceland.
Selv catering lodging. Good value fishing in Iceland.
